About Us

The Civic Association Jiný pohled, registered 5 August 2010, was founded by the people who organized the first year of the Jiný pohled/Queer Eye festival in 2010. Based on the visitors' positive feedback, we decided to continue with the festival in the future and expand our activities to support women's queer community.

Our main goals are primarily:
a. pursuit to eliminate discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation
b. support women and people of minority sexual orientation in their emancipation

Current chairperson and association representative is Kateřina Beňová. Other members of the association board are Henrietta Šeri and Eva Hosnedlová.

We use public sources for our activities, therefore we consider it commonplace using transparent bank account at FIO bank and publishing financial statements on our website and annual report. We have not received the grant for this year on our account yet, which is why you can't see much there at the moment :)
